MS Office Add-in 1.1

The new MS Office Add-in module (which replaces the former Outlook plugin) allows you to work more easily, directly from your everyday tools: Outlook and Word.

This module is compatible with the following versions of the Microsoft Office suite:

• Microsoft Office 2016 Desktop (web version is not supported)
• Microsoft Office 2019 Desktop (web version is not supported)
• Microsoft Office 365 Desktop (web version is not supported)

• Upload an email or its attachments to the platform to share them with your colleagues,
• Convert an email into a task to help you efficiently manage the actions mentioned in the email
• Add a video conference with one click from a calendar event
• Access contacts directly from your platform

What does this module offer?

From your Outlook application, the MS Office Add-in allows you to:

• Import from Outlook into your Jalios platform:
  • an email
  • attachments
  • attachments with the JCapture module
• Act on the content of an email with the help of Jalios intelligence (coupling with the JNLP module required)
  • Email writing assistance
  • Proposal of a reply to an email
  • Summary of an email or an email exchange
• Add a public link to facilitate and secure document exchanges from your platform
• Create a task in your Jalios platform from an email
• Open an email in your Outlook mail from a task in your Jalios platform
• Display an Outlook event on your platform (coupling with the Jalios calendar module)
• Add/join/remove a video call (coupling with the Jalios videoconferencing module)
• Search a contact from your Jalios platform from Outlook
• Import an Outlook contact into your Jalios platform and vice versa

From a Word document open on your workstation, thanks to the MS Office Add-in coupled with the JNLP module, benefit from the writing assistance of Jalios Intelligence (e.g. rephrase in a chosen tone, expand, continue, write the introduction or conclusion).

Configuration and installation

In order to benefit from all the functionalities offered by this module, it is necessary to have installed and configured:

• JNLP plugin 
• ESN plugin 
• JCalendar plugin 
• JCapture plugin 
• JTask plugin   
• JCall plugin 

Configuration of workspaces on JPlatform:

If a workspace declares the publication type "Email", then make sure that at least one Document type is also enabled on that workspace. Otherwise, there could be inconsistencies when sending an email with its attachments.

Thanks to the MS Office Add-In module, no more time wasted finding the right wording to create or reply to an email: I specify the subject of what I want to write and with one click Jalios Intelligence proposes a response that I adapt if necessary either by completing it myself or by calling again on the writing assistance offered by Jalios Intelligence (develop, rephrase, summarize,...)

From my computer, I also benefit from the writing assistance offered by Jalios Intelligence. No more blank page syndrome: I just need to give an instruction to see the content created in my Word file. Then, I rework this base using the available features.

Seamless use between Outlook and our Jalios platform

The MS Office Add-in smooths the interactions between Outlook and the Jalios platform.

In a few clicks, I create a meeting from the Outlook calendar using the videoconferencing tool of my Jalios platform. Need to add a comment or an attachment to this calendar event? I display the event from Outlook with one click and edit it in my Jalios platform.

Want to add an attachment to an email? Nothing is easier now, I benefit from sharing a link from my Jalios platform! I click on "Insert a public link" visible from the Outlook ribbon: a window showing the contents of my Jalios platform appears. Upon selecting my document, the link is created in my email.

Managing my contacts is also greatly simplified. From my Jalios platform, I import a contact into Outlook and vice versa, from Outlook, I import or export contacts from or to my Jalios platform.
